St Thomas Church

The fifth oldest Anglican Church still in use in Australia. It was convict built and still retains original family pew boxes, built with high sides and raised to protect "free" families from the gaze of convict worshippers.

The museum, its collection and themed displays tell the stories of Port Macquarie's rich and unique history and heritage. From the first settlers the Birpai people, British settlement in 1821 through to Port Macquarie's contemporary history as a tourist resort and sea-change town.
Cowarra Dam - Decorative Poles
King Creek, Wauchope
The sculptural poles comprise 20 carved and decorated poles, which stand like sentinels overlooking the dam. They were created using recycled timber cleared from the dam site during construction.
